Geordie's at Wrigley Mansion

Geordie's at Wrigley Mansion

The Wrigley Mansion, an Arizona treasure of 30’s era Southwest opulence, has few peers. Now a dining and conference facility, it sits on a Phoenix hilltop with magnificent 270° views of the city.
SRK expanded the West and South dining verandas and created an exciting night venue, Geordie’s @ the Wrigley Mansion, modernizing and enhancing its prominent historic stature.

SRK was able to breath new life into the Acme Building, A 7,000 sf building located in the Arts District of Central Phoenix. The 50’s era exterior and interior was renovated to provide a garden parking plaza, new entry features, modernization of interior spaces, increased windows throughout the building and signage. The building now straddles the line of mid-century modernism and contemporary design.

The client’s goal was an environment that showcased their attention to detail, quality construction and ability to think outside the box. SRK created a modern space for client meetings as well as an efficient work zone for this busy construction office. A custom rolling door of rusted steel panels, along with intensely colored walls, welcome visitors and convey the cutting edge ideas that characterize Brycon Construction.

Grilled Expedition is a new 5000 sq. ft. restaurant concept competing in the premium casual dining market located at Desert Ridge Marketplace. The design includes custom furniture pieces, indoor outdoor bar and patio area with custom metal railing, a dining area featuring exposed beams, and an open kitchen with 20 foot high wood fired oven clad in metal panels. The restaurant comfortably seats approximately 160 people.

The directive from the client on this project was to provide a dynamic office environment, showcasing the client’s creativity, professionalism, and unique company culture. The design is a cool mixture of overlapping planes, steel and fiberglass panels, and sandblasted glass partitions. The flow of the office plan facilitates efficiency and work comfort, as well as creating areas for large group interaction, smaller intimate settings and individual workstations.

Warm vivid tones lead through the open floor plan of this once typical house, inspiring the artist and her family who live here. The kitchen boasts premium Bubinka wood cabinets and refreshing outdoor views. The seamless meeting of floor and wall edges and flush countertops are the details of elegance. A separate artist studio with contemporary feel doubles as a guest house with access to sauna and pool, broad deck, and custom architectural features.
